Insulation Piercing Connector I.P.C

This I.P.C. (Insulation Piercing Connector) is used to establish a tap connection from a low voltage A.B.C. (Aerial Bundled Conductor) to another A.B.C. Insulated conductor cross sectional area range is, according to the kind of I.P.C., from 16 up to 150mm2.            
-Dielectric strength in water is over 6kV.
-Tightening screws which are the only accessible metal parts are potential free.
-Tightening efficiency is ensured by shear head screws.
-Connection on main cable is established by insulation piercing with, according to the kind of I.P.C., 1 or 2 shear head screws. This connection is dismountable but not reusable.
-Connection on the tap cable is established after having stripped its end to enable dismounting and reuse.
-1 or 2 tightening screws, according to the kind of I.P.C., are fitted with a shear head making first implementation easier.
-This I.P.C. meets the requirements of the NF C 33-020 and EN 50-483 standards.
